The story of the place
Lake Tison, also spelt Tizon, is a crater lake about 300 m across and 48 m deep on average, on the edge of Ngaoundéré. It is one of the region’s favourite outings: people come to sit in peace, and there is a restaurant-bar on the shore. Source: Wikipedia.

Good to know
- Entry and fees
- On site, an access fee or a guide may be asked for, and prices change: agree on the price before you start.
- Who to go with
- In a group rather than alone, and if possible with someone who knows the way.
- What to bring
- Water, good shoes and something to cover up if it rains. Do not swim without asking local people first, and take your rubbish back with you.
