A place with a story
Mont Mbapit et son lac de cratère
Nature & parks in Foumban.

The story of the place
In Bamoun country, between Foumbot and Foumban, Mount Mbapit is an old volcano nearly 2,000 m high. At the top you look straight down into the crater: almost vertical walls drop 200 metres to an almost round lake, with no river running in or out. The volcano is said to have once covered the plain with black lava. Source: Wikipedia.
